Our award-winning tennis coaching programme runs throughout the year, structured around school terms. This programme includes free coaching sessions for all members during school terms, along with additional pay-to-play squads for mini and junior members. Our adult and junior programmes operate to a single, common, ethos built around doubles play, which feeds into our adult teams.

Giffnock operates a 7-day per week coaching programme, branded as #TeamGiffnock. From teaching basic coordination skills through to developing players at national level, our talented team of coaches have a proven track record of delivering for everyone.

Adults

All coach led sessions for adults are free of charge to full senior members of the Club and are available during school terms. Coaching programmes have now largely returned to pre-pandemic “turn up and play”.

Mini/Juniors: Pay-per-play Coaching

We have a comprehensive tennis coaching programme for our mini and junior members. This all runs under a common #TeamGiffnock ethos, with two principle streams based on members’ playing standards – Club and Compete. Please check with our Coaching Team which stream your child falls under. Invitation to these sessions are sent out ahead of each coaching block. Most sessions are charged at £5 per hour.

If a child member is a January or February birth, or deferred a year, they should attend their Primary school class session – year of birth does not matter as much as playing with their friends.

Holiday camps for school age children and provided by our coaching team, as an added value service. These typically operate during Easter, Summer and October Week holidays, Monday to Friday 9am to 12pm, except during our Giffnock Open week.
