After the success this season, with the Ladies first team winning West District div 2 and gaining promotion to div 1 along with the Gents first team winning the West District Plate, Giffnock are looking to continue this into the coming season with continued recruitment in the coaching team. We are currently looking for a Gents Head Coach and a Head of Youth Development to look after and improve our ever-growing junior section.
The position of Gents Head Coach will oversee all aspects of gents hockey coaching at Giffnock. The Gents Head Coach will be required to ensure that all gents coaching sessions are covered either by themselves or by appointing further coaches as part of the role. The Gents Head Coach must lead our Gents first team coaching and ensure Gents second team training sessions are covered by a suitably qualified coach.
The position of Head of Youth Development is designed to be a person charged with assisting in the creation and delivery of the club’s junior hockey programme. The Head of Youth Development will attend junior sessions on a Monday and Wednesday (from 3:30pm) and coordinate junior matchplay.
