Giffnock Open 2019 comes to a fantastic conclusion

Despite the weather on Friday, the Giffnock Open came to a successful conclusion with a large number of spectators braving the conditions or watching via the live streaming on Facebook. The tennis tournament covered 253 competitors from a number of countries 382 entries, 19 events over 6 days on 6 courts.

Congratulations to Millie Wood, who won the Ladies Singles Final in a championship tie break against  top seed Natasha Fourouclas from South Africa.

Hamish Stewart was victorious in the Men’s Singles Final 6-4, 6-4 against Ewan Moore before teaming up with his opponent to win the Open Men’s Doubles against Scott MacAuley and Scott Duncan.

The Ladies Doubles was the final match of the evening with Emma Devine and Lucia Rizza beating Maisie and Millie Wood 6-4 6-3.
